THE EYES: RECEIVING OUR LIGHT

The eyes are windows through which we radiate and receive our light. They express how easy it is for us to receive who we are.

When the eyes are in balance we have an aligned perception of ourselves in our environment. We are attentive and can openly address what is present. This means that we can walk forward with confidence in life.

When the eyes are out of balance it can be difficult to orientate ourselves in the world. Themes of avoidance, a resistance to seeing truth and an overemphasis on the logical mind can interfere with our ability to receive an aligned vision.

THE EYES & OPENING TO EVOLUTION

When the eyes are clear we have a natural urge to become conscious and we open to new ideas. With a sparkle in the eyes we have an ability to play and a sharp focus of attention. The eyes show how fast we are expanding.

When the eyes are balanced there’s no resistance to who we are. We own the light that we are here to express. This means that we have hope for who we can become because we see our own potential.

Clear vision supports us to take responsibility for what we create, as we can see the hand we have had in manifesting our creation. As a result we do not get so caught up in our own projections, we transform energy faster and ground in a more powerful way.

When there are issues with the eyes, instead of opening to what is, we create drama, distraction and overwhelm so that we do not have to see the truth. Everything in the present becomes filtered through the lens of past experiences to an intense degree. This obscures the possibility of receiving or perceiving something new, we lose touch with our own potential and we cannot evolve and grow.

THE EYES & OTHER FORMS OF SIGHT

Seeing happens in many forms, not just through the eyes. An overemphasis on what we can tangibly see is reflected in an overemphasis on the logical mind. It also disconnects us from other modes of sensing.

Trying too hard to work things out logically means our thoughts are not able to flow freely. This can put a great deal of stress on the eyesight. It is the psychological equivalent of physically squinting to see forward.

The mind is like a kaleidoscope, it is a beautiful moving picture that we can sit and watch, but if we allow it to guide us we will become lost. It exists to present us with options and possibilities, but not to direct us in the way we should go. That direction must come from the body.

Vision often becomes impaired when there is a need to become more deeply in touch with other ways of sensing and seeing. I have often witnessed the eyesight improve when the individual has become more in touch with other aspects of their sensory being and emotional body.

THE EYES & THE CHAKRAS

When our Root Chakra is sufficiently grounded, our thoughts stream freely through us. We form no attachments to them therefore we are not controlled by the mind. As a result, our physical vision is less stressed.

Trying to action everything that comes into our minds, slows the energy of the Brow Chakra down. It ungrounds us and interferes with our ability to receive our aligned path forward. It blurs and distorts our vision.

When we create a path forward with our logical mind, instead of opening to receive the vision that is there to be gifted to us, we lose sight of who we truly are.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is where we find clarity about who we are. As we break down our experiences in the Solar Plexus, we can perceive ourselves from a ‘birds eye view’ in the Brow. With this view we can see how to move forward in an aligned way.

Clear vision is a gift, and we experience it when we let go. It is not something we can control. It only exists when we allow it to be what it is.

Working with the Sacral Chakra can help us to become more receptive and rest deeper within our body. It connects us with other modes of seeing and sensing. When this centre is balanced we are not over reliant on our vision to guide us and we understand how to access guidance from other dimensions of ourselves.

TO BALANCE THE EYES

To balance the eyes we can begin by clearing fear of our own personal power. Clearing an overemphasis on a rational mind and seeking logical answers for everything will also lift stress from the eyes, along with developing other sensory capacities.

It’s worth taking the time to disconnect from self sabotage as we create drama so that we don’t have to deal with our truth. We can also clear on patterns of avoidance, victimization, distractions from the self and fear of seeing truth.

The level and the quality of light in the eyes comes from the Liver. It is often the first place I look when working with the eyes. The liver is responsible for purifying the system. If we are not clear in our system, we cannot be clear about who we are. We lose touch with a balanced perception of ourselves. Supporting the Liver is important for the eyes and also for our inner vision.

Attending to make sure our basic needs are met, helps to ground the energy in the Brow. It brings us a certain level of detachment and enables us to operate from a place of observation rather than entanglement. In doing so it supports our ability to receive an aligned vision.

If there are issues with the eyes we are avoiding who we truly are in some sense. It can feel safer to sit amongst distractions, rather than dealing with pain, trauma or fear that we may be carrying. For a time it may be a survival strategy, however ultimately this is a form of self sabotage and must be addressed if we are to remain healthy.
